Capital One is seeking a Director, Web Design. In this exciting role you will be responsible for unearthing behaviors, attitudes & emotions that drive our customers and use that insight to inspire and drive our web design. Primary responsibility will be to build a model to effectively and efficiently center web design around the user to engage consumers through our digital channels and new technologies.

This person will lead a team of 10+ design professionals with primary responsibility for Online Servicing and Mobile interface design. Build effective relationships and seamless processes with interactive design agencies as needed to deliver on strategic business initiatives. Work collaboratively with the business, brand and technology teams to design and deliver powerful online experiences that enable our customers' financial success. Be a change leader in understanding and embracing future trends to deliver impactful user interface design. Provide strategic insight on target markets, customer behaviors and competitors to both designers and business partners, Ability to synthesize market research, website metrics and third party syndicated data to identify trends that could influence business and design strategy. Interact directly and influence senior executives. Recruit and develop a high-performing team and grow digital design and channel expertise.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree
• 7 Years experience in web design & usability
• 5 Years experience in managing direct and indirect teams of associates to deliver goals and objectives
• 3 years experience working with digital agencies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Business Management or Marketing
• 10 Years experience in web design & usability
• Experience with mobile and social media design
• Experience with web design across a variety of industries (financial services, retail, consumer goods)
